World's Most Scenic Railway Journeys
This was on My5. The programme was about a journey from Inverness to Edinburgh. My contribution was at the Culloden Viaduct in the snow. There were some great aerial shots of the wonderful viaduct - the largest stone structure in Scotland and Murdoch Paterson's last great masterpiece. If there is a repeat it is well worth watching.
I have contributed twice to Radio Scotland's family history programme Digging up your Roots.
I appeared in Series 5 of Great British Railway Journeys when Michael Portillo interviewed me about Murdoch Paterson and the design and construction of the direct railway line from Aviemore to Inverness which opened in 1898. I also contributed to a programme on the history of the Highland Railway shown on BBC Alba.
In WW1 around twenty-five shinty players from my village, Beauly were killed in the conflict. I contributed to a programme about this which was shown on BBC Alba and BBC2. I have also appeared in concerts on this subject.
Please contact me if you think I can make a contribution to programmes you are planning.
